I am delighted to announce that Noah Morris, Director Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) was recently nominated and won the prestigious Amethyst Award for Individual Achievement. This is the highest award given in the Ontario Public Service (OPS) and recognizes extraordinary public service and celebrates the outstanding achievements, professionalism and passion of Ontario public servants who contribute daily to make Ontario a better place to live.

Noah was recognized for his work that benefited Crown Wards students and other vulnerable groups in post-secondary education. The awards are presented in a special ceremony with OPS top executives in attendance. The ceremony has become synonymous with the Academy Awards in the Ontario Public Sector where over 800 Ontario public servants and their families gather to recognize the province's finest OPS members. The recipients are presented with a unique trophy that encapsulates an amethyst stone, Ontario's official gemstone.

Noah has been an active participating stakeholder in the student financial assistance arena working collectively with CASFAA over many years, and even presented at this year's conference in Winnipeg.  He sits on the National Advisory Group of Student Financial Assistance (NAGSFA), as well as the Inter-governmental Consultative Committee on Student Financial Assistance (ICCSFA) - two other key stakeholder groups that focus on promoting access and affordability in post-secondary education.
