CSLP Service Provider Re-procurement Results – Contract Award

posted on April 5, 2016

Good Morning,

As you may be aware, the Canada Student Loans Program (CSLP) has been working diligently over the last few years on a process to secure a new service provider contract for administration of the Program when the current contract ends (not later than March 31, 2018). The re-procurement process has now come to an end and we are in a position to share the results.

The company that submitted the successful bid for the contract is D+H.

We will now be entering into the transition phase of the project and are excited about what the new business model means for our program and clients. The new contract offers an opportunity to make significant improvements to the delivery of student loans and grants, particularly in the area of electronic service delivery. In moving to a more complete electronic service delivery model, CSLP will leverage proven technology and streamline processes and communications to improve the client experience. These changes will result in a model that is both cost and administratively efficient for the Program and the Department. Please note that at this time, nothing changes for our clients or our partners.

Even though the successful bidder is the incumbent, there are still a great number of changes that need to take place over the next two years. Throughout this period we will work with D+H on the development of the new service delivery model to ensure that our vision is realized.

We will continue to work with you in the collaborative fashion that we have upheld in the past and will ensure that you are brought in on discussions that might affect your business. Your continued support and collaboration during this time will play a key part in ensuring the transition to the new contract moves forward successfully.

Please do not hesitate to contact Marnie Rankin at marnie.rankin@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca if you have any questions or would like more information about the next steps.

Thank you,
