I am delighted to announce that this year's Award of Merit recipients are Connie Gibbs from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and Shelley Clayton from the University of New Brunswick (UNB).

Connie was recognized for her many years of dedication and advocacy of financial literacy whereby she delivered workshops at her institution and outlining communities throughout the Lower Mainland. Shelley was recognized for her tireless contribution to the Board, holding many roles over the years, as well as her passion for research on student success, presenting at numerous conferences and parliamentary committees, and collaborating with other fellow associations to promote the valuable work CASFAA does.

Both recipients were presented their awards on Monday, June 9th at the Assiniboine Park Qualico Family Centre, as part of the 2014 CASFAA Conference hosted by the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg.
