Job Description / Duties
Reporting to the Dean, Students, the Director of Financial Aid and Awards has the overall responsibility for the operation of the Financial Aid and Awards office including the development, management, delivery, and evaluation of the College’s funded scholarship, bursary, awards, and work study programs. The incumbent delivers services across both campus locations that support student access, recruitment, retention and success by ensuring that resources are available and are appropriately administered to students to reduce or eliminate any financial barriers to attaining educational goals and ensuring compliance with any/all government policies/directives.
Qualifications / Required Skills
The successful candidate will be a proven leader who demonstrates superior interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, and problem-solving skills. In addition, the successful candidate will possess a working knowledge of the (OSAP) and supplemental federal, provincial and private financial aid options. This role requires the incumbent to have strong computer skills, financial administration and accountability, and participate in annual training on complex Ministry policies, regulations and requirements. The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with strategic planning, staff and operational supervision and evaluation, conflict resolution, advising and providing support to students
The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a four-year undergraduate degree in Business Finance, along with minimum of seven years progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education with experience overseeing Financial Aid and Student Awards services. In addition, the incumbent will have significant experience in budget forecasting, account reconciliation and solid experience implementing Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Salary: Salary Range Band 12: $91,792 - $122,390
