Job Description / Duties
Under the general direction of the Associate Registrar & Director, Financial Aid & Awards, the Associate Director of University Awards is responsible for providing leadership and support in all aspects of award creation, administration, and communication for University of Toronto undergraduate award programs.
This includes, but is not limited to, providing strategic advice to the University Registrar, the Associate Registrar & Director of Financial Aid and Awards, the Division of University Advancement, academic divisions and others with respect to operational strategies related to awards; maintaining and applying current knowledge to undergraduate awards administration; interpreting and applying the Governing Council Policy on Student Awards; interpreting and applying the requirements concerning government mandated matching programs; creating award records; maximizing the University of Toronto’s Award Management System; and providing awards administration advice and guidance to the School of Graduate Studies on an as needed basis.
Qualifications / Required Skills
Qualifications Required:
EDUCATION: University graduation or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of experience with awards policies and payment processes; Knowledge of the University’s Policy on Student Awards; Knowledge of the University’s structure, particularly with respect to the administration of award programs (undergraduate, graduate, professional, external) would be an asset; Counselling experience; Experience working in student information systems and financial information systems; Experience designing and running reports.
SKILLS: Computer experience (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Access or other database experience) required.
OTHER: Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, time-management, and analytical and problem-solving skills; Demonstrated leadership ability; Demonstrated ability to train and manage staff; Ability to interpret and apply complex University and other policies; Ability to work both independently and collaboratively; Demonstrated sound judgement and initiative.

Salary: Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone: PM 4 -- Hiring Zone: $93,345 - $108,904 -- Broadband Salary Range: $93,345 - $155,575
