Calgary, May 24 - 27, 2026.
As you prepare for your arrival to Calgary:
Spring and early summer in Calgary can be dynamic and full of surprises! June typically brings sunny, warm days, but temperatures can change quickly. Calgary’s location near the Rocky Mountains means you might experience sunshine, occasional rain, and windy conditions—all in the same day. We recommend packing versatile layers so you’re prepared for whatever the weather brings. UofC is a large but walkable campus. We do recommend bringing comfortable shoes for getting around.
You will want to bring:
· An outfit for the banquet—smart casual to semi-formal attire is recommended; choose something you’ll be comfortable wearing for both the dinner and evening social activities
· A reusable water bottle—hydration stations will be available throughout the conference
· Personal items for your stay—on-campus or nearby accommodations can provide all standard amenities
Good to know:
· There are several pharmacies and convenience stores within a 5-10 minute walk or short transit ride from the UCalgary campus.
· Need snacks or groceries? Save-On-Foods, Co-op, and other grocery stores are easily accessible via walking, public transit, or a short drive.
· Food courts, cafés, and essential services are available on campus and in the nearby communities of University District and Brentwood Village.
