Presenter: Bianca Marryshow, Manager, Student Financial Assistance, Ryerson University Description: According to The Wynhurst Group, 22% of employee turnover happens in the first 45 days of employment due to ineffective employee onboarding. So, how can organizations achieve better onboarding results? In this presentation, join Bianca Marryshow as she takes you through the Ryerson Student Financial Assistance department’s step-by-step guide to effective employee onboarding. Whether onboarding in person or virtually, we explore how Ryerson’s student financial assistance team forms meaningful relationships with new staff, and ultimately strengthens employee retention. Attendees will be guided on a journey of reflections, teachings, and learning. You will also be presented with a tangible six-step strategy for onboarding that can be immediately implemented within your own units. You do not need to be in a leadership/management role, nor working in financial aid, to attend this session! All are welcome! |
